1. Product Use and Features

The PQ42 disc granulator is used to process Bentonite powder into spherical pellets. This model features uniform pelletizing size, adjustable inclination angle, low energy consumption, and easy operation and maintenance.

2. Working Principle

The motor drives the disc to rotate through a belt drive, reducer, bridge device, and slewing bearing. The raw material powder is pre-mixed with water to achieve uniform moisture, then fed into the disc. As the disc rotates, the raw material powder gradually forms into spherical pellets by tumbling inside the disc. Once the pellets reach the predetermined diameter, they are discharged out of the disc and conveyed to the next process.

4. Main Component Structural Characteristics

The disc granulator mainly consists of the frame, drive unit, bridge device, slewing bearing, disc body, scraper support, scraper device, etc. Its structural characteristics are as follows:

(1) Disc Body: Made of Q235B steel. The disc bottom is reinforced with multiple radial steel plates, providing high strength and rigidity. The disc body features a split-type structure to facilitate transportation.

(2) The main shaft is forged 40Cr steel with quenching and tempering treatment, and its hardness shall not be less than 210 HB.

(3) The large gear is cast ZG310-570 steel in one piece, followed by normalizing and tempering treatment. Its hardness shall not be less than 170 HB.

(4) The pinion is forged 42CrMo steel with quenching and tempering treatment, and its hardness shall not be less than 230 HB.

(5) Two sets of powered bottom scrapers and one set of unpowered side wall scraper are equipped. The scraper support is made of Q235B steel.

(6) The base frame is made of Q235B steel, fabricated by welding section steel and steel plates. After welding, integrated machining is performed on all major mating surfaces, which effectively guarantees the assembly precision of the whole machine and improves operational reliability.
