The main component of industrial by-product gypsum is CaSO4•2H2O, which contains different impurities due to the different taste and production methods of raw ore. It not only contains common trace impurities such as Al, Mg, Fe, Si, but also some substances that cannot form calcium sulfate dihydrate in these reactions. There are also some specific substances in each by-product gypsum, such as: soluble phosphorus (P) and fluorine (F), free acid and other impurities often contained in phosphogypsum, which will have a greater impact on the performance of gypsum powder and gypsum products. Desulfurization gypsum is mainly used for neutralization reaction between limestone and sulfur dioxide in flue gas to form calcium sulfate dihydrate. In order to ensure desulfurization efficiency, calcium oxide in limestone is generally required to be greater than 50%. When it fails to meet the requirements, it will contain a large amount of impurities such as silicon dioxide, sodium oxide, calcium carbonate, calcium sulfite, limestone, calcium chloride, magnesium chloride, etc., which will reduce the grade of gypsum and cause the purity of desulfurized gypsum to fluctuate greatly, seriously affecting The stability of the performance of gypsum products.
